Trump Tanks Nevada's Economy, and Lombardo Stays Silent
While Trump’s reckless policies and dangerous rhetoric drive up prices and directly impact Nevada’s economy, Gov. Lombardo has nothing to say. Nevadans are feeling the squeeze every day, be it from higher costs at the grocery store, rising rents, or shrinking paychecks. Instead of standing up for our state, Lombardo has chosen to simply do nothing at all, leaving families to carry the burden.

Rising Grocery Bills
Even the basics at the store are getting more expensive under Trump’s tariffs. Coffee has jumped an eye-popping 40% since January, while bacon is up almost 5%, among other rising prices. For Nevada families already stretched thin, these price hikes add up fast.
Housing Increases
Nevadans are already struggling with skyrocketing rent. In Reno, the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment climbed 2.18% in just months. Instead of offering relief, Lombardo vetoed housing protections that would have helped tenants keep a roof over their heads. While costs climb higher, Lombardo sides with special interests and leaves Nevadans on their own.

Car Costs Skyrocketing
New car buyers are now facing an extra $6,000 on average. Buying a car in Nevada is already expensive, and Trump’s tariffs are making it worse. Even vehicles assembled in the U.S. depend on parts from overseas, meaning there’s no escaping the cost hike.
Higher Prices at Home
The U.S. imported $25.5 billion in furniture in 2024, and after Trump’s tariffs hit in April, prices spiked almost immediately up 1.4% by July. Families trying to furnish a home are stuck footing the bill, while Lombardo offers no solutions.

Applicance Costs Soaring
Refrigerators, washers, and ranges jumped 4.3% in just one month after tariffs were imposed in May 2025. For Nevada families already stretched thin, higher costs on basic household appliances make it harder to make ends meet.
Tech Costs Through The Roof
Thanks to Trump’s tariffs, the cost of smartphones could rise by $255, and gaming consoles by as much as $428. The longer tariffs stay in place, the higher the costs climb. This affects daily life in Nevada, yet Lombardo won’t speak up.

So...Where's Lombardo?
As Nevadans are hit with higher prices thanks to Trump's disastrous policies, Lombardo is nowhere to be found. He’ll show up for big donors and fancy fundraisers, but when it comes to standing up to Trump and fighting for Nevada families, he disappears.
